what's up on Sunday
Good morning to you, Jeannie and my OFF siblings. I have a feeling that a lot of us are going to be staying in because of the heat and humidity. I can do the heat unless it is really high but that humidity has got to go...I never could take it and still can't.
Nothing much is going on here. I went to my niece's house last night since she had a candle party. Party Lite is now selling bath things too...I can't understand that. I thought that they did candles. Along with the bath stuff they have foot lotion too. I can't burn candles because of Miss Nosy. She is into everything now..the older she gets the worse she gets. I had thought of the reeds but I know that she would get into them too. So I went with sachets...I got some closets and such that can do nothing but improve with those.
Bill got a couple of new tattoos last night. He got Kayden's name on his arm and then on the side of leg he got a dragon. It looks nice but I am just not into those things. David is going to do my new one today. This is going to be my 2nd one. He is going to do Kayden's name with his Grandma nickname which is Chip. I call him that because of his chipmunk cheeks. I hope that he keeps them but I doubt that he will. I told Bill that I will have to save room in case there are any others. Above the name I am going to have Grandma's and then a red heart. Chip had my heart that is for darn sure. I never thought that would happen. But....you all were right...it did and it didn't take long either.
I guess I should get going. I hope that you all have a great Sunday and know that I am sending love and hugs to all of you along with prayers being said for you all too. Don't forget to smile and spread the happiness...heaven only knows that this world needs more of that.

Jeannie ~ Airplanes make me sick to my stomach and nervous beyond words. The last time I flew was in 1991. It was a trip to Florida for my daughter's graduation gift. She wanted to throw me out of the plane.
All this talk of warm weather makes me jealous. It is 61* here at 11 AM. Send the heat this way.
Friday we took the M&M's to the park. They took off running towards the lake, with me in chase. The little rascals thought it was funny to hear grandma yelling STOP. Amazing how fast a 2 & 3 year old can run. Without WLS I never could have caught up to them.
We went out for ice cream too. As we were driving I asked them what flavor they wanted - both requested vanilla. Tom said he wanted Bunny Flavor. Their eyes got huge and Melanie said "silly Poppa, bunny flavor is yucky". They got their cones, we went outside to wait as Tom ordered a chocolate shake.
He was sipping and Miss M eyed his shake. He asked if they would like to taste his Bunny Shake? Matthew refused, Miss M took a tentavie taste, then smiled. She proclaimed that Bunny's taste good.
Kisses

Aloha OFFers.........Jeannie.......how fun to have you start the thread from a hotel! I don't have a laptop so I'm going to be lost when I have to move out in Sept. for a week. What do you do these days without a computer????
The past few days have been up and down, and thankfully this morning is a good one. It's 7:15 a.m. and I have two large loads of laundry working, and that always makes me feel better.
Yesterday I went to Costco and picked up things for my 84 year old friend who doesn't get out much anymore. She had me get her fresh papaya (a large container with cut up papaya), english muffins, and food for her little dog, Bubba. We split a Costco chicken and I made my half into soup after cutting off the best part for sandwiches. When I delivered her stuff I sat on the floor and played with Bubba for awhile and realized what a miracle that was! I can sit on the floor, legs crossed, and rise up from that position without any problem. Three years ago, I would NOT get down on the floor EVER.......fearing I could not get back up.
Then, one of my biggest worries lately about where to take my kitties during the termite tenting in Sept. A dear friend......a plastic surgery nurse who took care of me after my panniculectomy a few months ago, has offered her rental condo next door for me and my kitties for that week. If you'd like to take a look at the unit...here's the site: www.vrbo.com/200409 It will be perfect for my two kitties and me.....and I will take them over in carriers and have a large soft cage there where they can cuddle in and feel safe until ready to venture out. It will be a stressful time for all of us. Plus, I have really good friends coming to Maui during that week...and will NOT be able to have them over for dinner/luau, pupu party, etc. Bad timing all around, but I am so thankful to my friend...she's the real deal.
So, time to have some papaya and read the sunday paper. Here's hoping you all have a nice day and an ever better week.
Aloha nui loa,
Maui Karen

Karen, Looks like you're going to have a great place to stay for a week. I looked at the website and showed my hubby. He said ya it's nice, but we'll never go there. Sometimes I wish I could just travel with my girlfriends, but that's not going to happen. I didn't know there was a site out there like this one. Maybe we'll look for a place in AZ or FL for a winter vacation.
By the way, when I don't have my computer access I go to the library. it's free there, and fast, sometimes better than at home.
